What's Included In The Seating Planning Kit:

The Seating Planning Kit has 20 pages containing all the typical sizes of folding banquet tables, both with and without chairs. The tables have the chairs extending 18" from the table edge to show an occupied position of the seating. Most table arrangements on the seats are in groups of 2 or 4 with the correct aisle spacing of 5' between them.
Also included:

Round Tables from 24" to 15'
Square Tables from 30" sq to 40" sq
Rectangular Tables from 18" x 48" all the way up to 36" x 96"
Racetrack Tables from 36" x 72" to
42" x 96"

Create a neat and accurate seating plan so that your wedding reception flows smoothly and according to your wishes! Your seating plan will make everyone's job a little easier who is involved in helping and planning your wedding reception seating, for the guests as well as the bride and grooms head table.

This fun and easy to use 1/4" scale table and seating arrangement set contains copies (to the correct scale) of all the furniture you may need to use at a reception or banquet event. You can make copies of the master sheets of furniture, cut out the table sizes and furniture that you need and glue or tape to the enclosed gridded floor plan. Any room size will work with this table arranging kit - whether small or large. These masters are printed on both sides of 8-1/2 x 11 acid-free archival quality heavy paper.

10 Wedding Reception Seating Tips

Once you have figured out just how many tables and chairs you will need for your wedding reception, the hard part begins – the seating chart - when you decide who should next to each other. Family politics, divorce and stepparents can make arranging the seating a real headache.

However, here are a few tips on how and where to seat your guests at your wedding reception.

First of all, don’t tackle this on your own. Not only should the bride and groom both be involved, the parents of the wedding couple can help.
Use escort cards, table cards and place cards so that people can find their assigned seat.
Seat the brides and grooms parents together at the same table. Their table should be in a position of honor, near the Wedding Party Table, which is where the bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen will sit.
Try to seat similar age groups together. For instance, don’t put your great-aunt at a table with several 7 & 8 year olds. Children under 6 should be seated with at least one of their parents.
Place your single guests together, and put people who share similar interests and lifestyles at the same table.
If you are having a live band or DJ, don’t seat older guest’s right in front of the band, DJ or speakers.
Older guest that may need assistance, or have a walker will appreciate being placed out of the main flow of traffic and in a location where they won’t be accidentally bumped.
It’s nice to keep couples that come to the wedding together, seated together. A wedding is a very romantic occasion and many couples just don’t want to sit at separate tables!
Try to arrange to have an extra table or two just in case you have unexpected guests.
