4 Dining Room Decor Kitchen Decor
This lesson our information concerns the Kitchen, which is one of the most important rooms in a house! As you go through the pages, be asking yourself:
In this French Country Kitchen, the yellow and white color scheme are set off by the blue china and gleaming copper. Even Donald Ducks colors go well! Kitchens come in all different sizes and in order to classify yours just follow this guide: Small Kitchen - under 150 square feet Medium Kitchen - 150 - 200 square feet Large Kitchen over 200 square feet You will learn in one of the Exercises how to determine the square footage of your Kitchen. As far as color schemes in the Kitchen are concerned, the colors that people use in their kitchen are as varied as people, however, most are dictated by the colors of appliances. At this time, most appliances are white, black or chrome and colors used in the kitchen are affected by the colors of the appliances. Really, any color works, however, if you use blue in your kitchen, it is best to pair it with a warm color such as yellow or peach to make your kitchen a warm inviting room! Dining Rooms are very personal spaces in a house, although, this is where we typically entertain our guests and it is often the center of a families activities. By personal, I mean that the room is very intimate because the act of sharing a meal with family and friends is very intimate. You Dining Room may be formal, semiformal or casual. The furniture may be mahogany, oak, pine, cherry, painted, chrome or metal. But it should be a reflection of your personality and it should flow with the rest of your homes decor. Frank Lloyd Wright generally designed the furniture in the homes he built and was famous for his high back chairs around a dining room table. His reasons for the extremely high back chairs was so when guests where gathered around the table the backs of the chairs enclosed the table visually into an intimate area. It actually does work and if you would like to create this in your dining room, the backs of the chair should extend slightly above the top of the head of a person when seated.
In order to classify the size of your Dining Room just follow this guide: Small Dining Room - 80 - 185 square feet Medium Dining Room - 185 - 300 square feet Large Dining Room over 300 square feet
